The eight-finger robot

The robotics club has built a robot called Octo. Octo has eight fingers, so it counts the way you would with eight fingers: in base eight.

In base eight there are only eight digits, 0 to 7. After 7 comes 10, which means one eight and no ones. After 77 comes 100, which means one sixty-four.

Octo's first job of the new year: write 2027 on the club whiteboard.
